OK guys, I know we've discussed winches before, but I just found a deal on the Smittybilt 8000 Lb winch Model XRC8 at 4wheelparts.com. Price once added to cart is $256.49
Seems like a good Christmas present...

Here is the link: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winc ... S%2fB97281

Anyone have personal experiences with this one, good or bad?

There are tons of people on jeepforum using that winch with rave reviews. Cheapest I have ever seen it is $299 with wire rope. Looks like a pretty good deal to me.

Yeah I have one on my jeep and I used it a couple of times this summer. I haven't had any problems with it and it works great. I used to have an 9000lb milemarker on my previous jeep, I think my smittybuilt works better than that one. I would say go with it. I think they come with a lifetime warranty too.
