one of the issues on my 95 ZJ that i picked up a few months ago is the factory fog lights were removed and the wires were cut, leaving a few inches of wire sticking under the grille. i did some research, and found the factory lights were 55 watts. on a whim, i picked up a set of "offroad lights" that are rated at 55 watts. i can mount them alright, i just wonder about the wiring. i assume i can just wire them up to the factory harness, making sure i make good waterproof joints. my question is (and please dont laugh), is does it matter how i hook up the wires? my 12VDC experience is spotty, but i dont think it matters which wire on the lights i tie into the factory harness.
can anybody confirm that i am correct without making me look too stupid?

Red goes to + black goes to -. You can test the factory harness with a cheap test light.
